Our Story
Where It All Began
Our story began in 2016, as two young university students meeting in London. We were brought together by a shared love for creativity in fashion, photography and design. What started as a friendship quickly grew into a bond rooted in curiosity and appreciation for the beauty found in both African heritage and British craftsmanship.
A Shared Vision of Design and Purpose
After graduating, our paths continued to intertwine as we pursued careers in interior design and the arts. Each project deepened our understanding of how scent, colour, and form can shape emotion and elevate a space. We began to dream of ways to bring our shared backgrounds, values, and aesthetics together into something meaningful to us in the world of interiors.
The Birth of Obi London
After brainstorming our ideas of how we could create something unique to add value into the world of interiors. We saw a gap in the home fragrance accessories, something that was a love for us both when decorating our homes. Obi London was born, a tribute to friendship, heritage, and artistry. Combining our African roots with modern British sensibility, we handcraft luxury candles and room sprays that tell stories through scent.
